The Batchelor’s of Kinnell Mill Farm have been farming in the Angus and Tayside area for many generations. We source their pork and beef. Their pigs are born in outdoor arcs in farms across Angus and Aberdeenshire where they are free to roam. After 5-6 weeks they are brought into large straw bedded courts and fed a cereal diet of which the main ingredients are barley and wheat same ingredients that are grown on their Angus farm. Their pigs are part of the Freedom Foods scheme which means that they are RSPCA Assured pigs and are also assured by Quality Meat Scotland’s ‘Specially Selected Pork’. The Batchelor farming family took over ownership at the long established Arbroath butcher Fleming’s.
"We started with a fresh grilled langoustine served with the most delicious mushrooms ever tasted foraged locally. We then shared the guacamole and refried beans which are amazing. I had the speciality tacos of sardine, squid, king prawn and one of cactus. Wow. Make sure you're hungry when you go. This is proper home made mexican food using local produce and needs to be experienced. Service is welcoming and friendly. Just go".
